Course catalogs through the years
Rutgers offers scores of awesome classes for first-year students where professors get to teach on their own research. Each year, I create a new course catalog for the Byrne First-Year Seminar program. Although the content is always similar (course listing), each years' design explores a new theme and style. The challenge it to make the listings as interesting as the courses themselves.
Each catalog is designed and printed with two colors, black for the body text, and another color for highights and graphical flourishes. In the beginning of each catalog, an introductory typographic "poetic" expounds on the theme of the semester.
